High Forehand Groundstroke - Use a semi western or western forehand grip

Listed below are some key points, which will assist you in hitting successful forehands.
- As Tim is demonstrating in the photo, prepare early and get the racquet back before the ball bounces. Use your non dominant hand for balance.
- Take lots of little adjusting steps.
- For a high bouncing ball, hit the ball early and where possible hit the ball at shoulder height.
- Have a very firm wrist and grip on the racquet.
- Meet the ball out in front of your body, so you can transfer your body weight through the shot.
- Track the ball from your opponent's racquet onto your racquet.
- Bend from the knees and keep your body balanced.
